Who's Surprised?

Come on, ya'll, a show of hands!

What? Just me?

Am I really the only one surprised at this turn of events? The only one who actually believed Mo was going to get his ass out of bed and make it to our appointment this morning?

Just me?

Wow.

  1. Sad to say, but based on your past posts about Mo, it doesn't surprise me to hear that he would skip your appointment.

    I'm sorry.

I'm sure you've thought of this possibility, but is your husband suffering from depression? His behavior, as described by you, sounds very consistent with someone who has depression.

Just my two cents. . .

  2. I am so sorry Jo.

S has a good point about depression.

  3. I also figured depression must be a major factor with Mo. I haven't been reading for long enough to know whether he's seeking help, but I hope so. My dad ultimately had to leave his second wife because her depressions were so debilitating and she didn't get the help she needed; she ended up causing major grief and harm to her whole family. It's such a tough, tough thing to deal with--but hopefully with the right support/counseling/etc. Mo can get past it, if this is indeed something he struggles with. Thinking of you~

  5. Can you put an antidepressant in a piece of cheese and trick him into eating it? I am so sorry you are going through this. I spent way too long with someone that always said the right things but I was too blinded by love to see that he never actually DID any of the things (big or small) that he said he would.
Find a good therapist. If he won't go with you go alone to sort through it all.
I won't judge you for your ultimate decisions but I will be praying for you to find peace, happiness and fulfillment.
